Research Applications of Heterogeneous Technology
Modern research and applications are characterized by immense computational loads and extremely large datasets. At the same time, accelerator technologies such as GPU and FPGA have become de-facto in the datacenter. What role will hardware acceleration continue to play and how will it help address tomorrow’s challenges? ACE is a half-day event with expert talks focused on applications using hardware accelerator technology such as GPU and FPGAs for next-generation research.
Who should attend?
ACE brings together the community of compute infrastructure providers and the research PI users including academia, industry, and highly qualified personnel in advanced research from across the province and beyond. This event is organized in coordination with Compute Ontario as part of the OARCC Congress, on May 15th, 2018 at the Chelsea Hotel, Toronto. The sessions will start at 13:00 and end at 16:30 – Lunch will be served at noon with refreshments in between the speaker sessions.
