Compute Ontario is calling for members of the Advanced Research Computing community from Canada and internationally, to contribute recent research developments and advancements in their respective fields.
Three 30-minute spots are available for selected senior researchers. Researchers are invited to submit abstracts of a maximum of 300 words by the deadline of Tuesday, April 17, 2018. Abstracts should generally fall within the following topics:
All submissions can be sent to OARCC@computeontario.ca. Researchers chosen to present at OARCC from outside the Greater Toronto Area will be offered free Congress admission and a one-night stay at Toronto’s Chelsea Hotel.
We invite submissions to the Ontario Advanced Research Computing Congress (OARCC) lightening round, in which each selected post-doc or student has five minutes maximum to present their research to Congress attendees. This competition will provide post-doctoral students and trainees an important opportunity to demonstrate their strong presentation skills and research expertise to an audience of government, industry and academic stakeholders.
There are 10 spots available for presentations. In addition, selected attendees may invite companies and organizations to attend their presentation.
Interested researchers are asked to submit a 250-word abstract or three-minute video on the impacts/results of their research project to Krista Davidson at email@example.com for consideration by end of day Tuesday, April 17, 2018, along with:
Participants will have just five minutes to present their research and findings/anticipated results. You presentation can include demos, PowerPoints and props, and should showcase your invaluable contribution to the project and strong presentation skills.
A meeting room will be made available should you wish to further discuss your research with OARCC attendees or interested industry representatives.
